Description: 1963 Reprint - originally published
Thomas Burgoyne (1855 - 1894) - a Scottish occultist, who founded the Hermetic Brotherhood of Luxor in Britain. He moved to America where he wrote The Light of Egypt in 1889, and he founded the Hermetic Brotherhood of Light in America.
The Light of Egypt is divided in two parts: The Science of the Soul & The Science of the Stars. It represents the search for spiritual truth - describing methods that reportedly date back to ancient Egypt et al. Refers to Hermetic, Kabalistic, Theosophical, and Buddhist principles, karma, immortality & reincarnation. Plus chapters on The Mysteries of Sex, The Realm of Spirit, Alchemy, astrology and the zodiac.

Very Good condition. Discoloration on cover as shown in picture. Binding is
sound & tight, but there is some hinge pivoting. Pages are clean with a
normal amount of discoloration for its age. There is a small amount of rippling
of the pages.
Beecher was a Congregationalist clergyman, social reformer, abolitionist, and

This book was published after he was pastor at the Eliot Congregational Church in Roxbury Massachusetts.
Condition: Greenish blue cloth cover. Book is tight, but the spine is torn. Pages are consistently aged and foxed throughout. Fair to good condition.
