Description: December 1880 to December 1881
Harper's Young People was an American children's magazine published between 1879 and 1899 by Harper & Brothers. It was a weekly illustrated magazine containing fiction & non-fiction. It was targeted for boys and girls ages 6 to 16.
Includes many serialized stories such as Toby Tyler: Ten Weeks with a Circus by James Otis (released as a live action Disney movie in 1960).

Ex Library - Poor Condition - A well read copy, it's amazing that this book has survived at all. The pages are rough but it has many wonderful illustrations which you can see from the pictures I took.

This is a first edition (U.S.) 1993 hardcover with the dust jacket. There
are a few creases and tears in the dust jacket and there is unfortunately
some water damage in the upper corners. Still, it's a charmer with 32
pages of full color large illustrations and humorous situations.

there is some yellowish spotting.
I suppose with the popularity of the Bobsey Twins series, other twin stories would emerge. This is a story of the Temple Twins, Constantia (nicknamed Con) and Geraldine (nicknamed Pro) and of their summer adventures off from boarding school to their great aunt's house.
The colors and illustrations are rich and the haiku poetry is delightful. While this was meant as a children's book, any fan of haiku (in their English translation) and Japanese inspired art will truly appreciate this book.
Fair Condition - A good reading and enjoying copy. Pages are clean, though the book is loosening up and there have been some pages that were taped.
