1901 London Graphic Cover - Cinderella A Portrait by John Bacon Original Magazine cover - $17.00

S&H included for US sales only. All others contact us first.

Cover of The London Graphic Christmas Number 1901 - in found condition.
Size: 12" X 16"

Edges darkened from handling and frayed. Scuffs on picture of Cinderella. I don't know if this is part of a series done by John H. F. Bacon (Royal Academy), but I do know that the girl in this picture seems too young to go to the Prince's ball, and her bed time at this age is more likely 8:00 pm than midnight.

We do not separate intact magazines, no matter how much more we might make for selling prints and plates separately. This item is from an orphaned lot.

Vintage Hand Painted copy Postimpressionist painting originally by A.P. Ryder titled "Toilers of the Sea" - $210

<-- Click image to left for more pics
S&H included for US sales (all others contact us first)

This vintage hand painted copy is signed T Miko. The original painting by Albert Pinkham Ryder titled "Toilers of the Sea" sits in a museum . You can still hang a nice copy on your walls.
Palette Knife painting on canvas. This has been painted in passionate strokes similar to Van Gogh.
Pictured are 2 men in a skiff (single sailed boat). I don't know if this is dawn or dusk, the sun or the moon?

This painting has some age. Probably early to middle 20th Century. The stretcher is stamped "Anco Bilt Glendale NY" At their website Anco, which is still in business. It was in Glendale from about 1905 to 1990. This painting was once framed. The paint is worn along the edge where it once sat in a frame and there is a nail hole on either side where it was once nailed into the frame. There's one paint fleck missing in the middle front foreground.

18" X 14 1/4"

The original (Click here) for a description sits in the Metropolitan Museum of Art since approx. 1915 I'd guess that a student artist sat in the gallery and copied this 70 to 80 years ago.

Vintage hand colored photo Gondola San Marco Campanile Doge Venice Italy - $95.00

Gondola with the Piazza San Marco Campanile (bell tower) & Doge’s Palace in the background - Venice Italy

S&H included for US sales (all others contact us  first)
Hand colored Vintage framed and matted photo of Gondola with the Piazza San Marco Campanile (bell tower) & Doge’s Palace in the background - Venice Italy

This is most likely a professional photograph - probably sold as a souvenir. A closeup photo of the gondola shows the clarity of detail, including the wood carving on the enclosed gondola cabin. My guess is that this dates from the beginning of the 1900s. though whether this is the tower that collapsed in 1902 or the exact replica that was finished in 1912, I have no idea. The bell tower of the St. Mark's Basilica is one of Venice's most recognizable landmarks.

The photo has some condition issues. Check the photos that I've provided. There is spotting, though most of it seems to be on the water, where it's less noticeable. I almost wonder if there was something in the color wash that protected the main features from this spotting. I took the photo out of the frame once to clean the glass and photograph it better, but as you might notice in one of the pictures, a little speck of dirt stuck to the glass on the upper left corner and I didn't notice it till it was back in the frame. Oh well!

Vintage 1940's Antebellum Southern Belles - Ladies Turner Signed Prints on Canvas - larger size - $77.00

<-- Click image to left for more pics
S&H included for US sales (all others contact us  first)
2 Turner Prints on Canvas. Original peach / salmon colored frames. These are the larger size of the ones that I've seen. Frames are 13 1/2" X 15 1/2". The prints are approx. 10 1/2" X 12 1/4". They need to be re-backed. The waviness you see in the pictures disappears when I press on the cardboard. With a stiffer back, these will disappear. There also seems to be several specks on the back of the glass that is not on the prints. These prints are in good condition though I had trouble getting a good picture. If you compare the different pictures you will see that most if not all the defects that seem to be in one photo of the picture are not in the next.

Lady with fan is signed in 4 places - at the base of the flower stand; under the rug; on the bottom right; and on the lower left right at the edge of the frame where it says "Copyright 1942, Turner Mfg. Co. Chicago USA". The lady with the bouquet has 2 visible signatures.

Vintage Early to mid 20th Century Print of Lady in Blue - Framed $42.00

Pictured is a sitting girl who seems to be about 20 years old. She's all dressed up, wearing a blue dress and a cream colored shawl with a red and blue floral design. She's holding a pink rose (or carnation) which undoubtedly matches her pink complexion.
Unsigned. Could easily imagine this from a famous painting of the late 19th century. The colors are good on the picture. There is some spotting on the background paper. The blue painted frame once had something attached on the top.

Picture is 6" X 8 1/2"
Frame is 12 1/4" X 15 1/4"
